As Parliamentary Secretary for Emergency Preparedness it’s my goal to ensure that British Columbians are prepared for emergencies in their communities. Throughout the flood and fire season, I visited the communities of Grand Forks, Burns Lake, Dease Lake and Telegraph Creek. I’m still in awe over the resilience shown by communities and the hard work of staff and volunteers. The people of our province know how to come together in an emergency.
