British Columbia’s food producers felt the impact of the largest wildfire season on record. That’s why your provincial government, in partnership with the federal government has announced the 2018 Canada-British Columbia Wildfires Recovery Initiative to help British Columbia’s agriculture sector recover from the impact of wildfires.

This initiative will provide up to $5 million to assist British Columbia’s farmers and ranchers with the extraordinary costs incurred as a result of the 2018 wildfires.

Assistance will include:

• Costs related to ensuring animal health and safety.
• Feed, shelter and transportation costs for livestock.
• Costs to re-establish perennial crop and pasture production damaged by fire.
