Port operations are a good example of how communities, First Nations, labour and business can come together and share success.
The growth of the Port of Prince Rupert has enabled a network of jobs across BC. From working at the port or with one of the transport companies, over 3,300 jobs have been created in trains, trucks, vessels, logistics, warehousing, terminals and inspections. Each of those industries spins off around 2,200 indirect jobs via small businesses along the transport routes.
Congratulations to all on a successful grand opening and I wish you all the best as you move forward towards phase three!
