Canada, British Columbia and First Nations Leadership Council sign Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding to improve emergency management services for B.C. First Nations

Having spent time touring wildfire and flood-affected communities, I’m proud to be a part of a government that not only recognizes the need for improved emergency services in Indigenous communities but also is willing to do something about it. This agreement enables all First Nations communities on reserves to receive emergency management support comparable to what is currently provided to other local authorities, and recognizes First Nations as full partners in emergency management.
