Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere and at any time. With one Canadian going into cardiac arrest every 13 minutes, an automated external defibrillator (AED) is an effective and easy-to-use device that saves lives. April 12th is AED Awareness Day. Calling 911, performing CPR and using an AED can mean the difference between life and death for someone in cardiac arrest.
